What is a Fanlisting/B.T.A.B?

A fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name, email (which will remain confidential), and country.

PaperbackSwap.com is a website where book lovers can swap their books with other members from across the country. Books can be new or used, audio, hardback, or paperback - it doesn't matter. They need only be in a good condition. For each books you list and send to another member you receive credits which can be used to request books of your own. This site allows readers to easily cut down the size of their personal libraries by removing books they do not want to hang onto any longer. Not to mention, readers can get a hold of "new" books to read at a fraction of the cost.

The fanlisting's current layout features scenes from the anime Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood which I felt nicely tied in with this site. In this episode we are introduced to a character named Shizenka who is the epitome of a bookworm. Our first glimpse of the girl comes after she is extracted from underneath a mountain of books that had fallen ontop of her. Her home is literally filled wall to wall (not to mention floor to ceiling) with books which she has read. Initially I had planned on using photos of my own impressive stacks of books book after seeing this episode aired I could not resist using it. After all, Shizneka's home is a perfect example of just how easy PaperbackSwap.com makes it to get new books. In Shizneka's case however, I think it might be better if she swapped out a few books.
