In season seven of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Buffy and the gang are faced with an all new and (seemingly) invincible enemy - the First. Unlike villians before it the First is hell bent on not just destroying the Slayer but the entire slayer line along with the Watcher's Council. Unlike Buffy, not all girls who have the "potential" to become slayers are kept in the dark about their destiny, some are in fact trained in advance. Kennedy is one of those such girls and when the First's minions go on a killing spree Kennedy's watcher becomes one of their many victims. Kennedy along with two other potential slayers (Molly and Annabelle) are lead by Giles to the only semi-safe place left to hide, the Hellmouth. Under Buffy and the gang's watchful eyes the potentials are as safe as any potential can be amidst this apocalypse, right? Not much of Kennedy's past is disclosed through out the series. It is mentioned however that Kennedy is an only child who comes from a very well off family. She has one stepsister who lived with her, but in a seperate wing of the house. It is not mentioned whether Kennedy's parents were divorced or if one of them was deceased, and if so which one.

From the
beginning we see that Kennedy has a huge crush on the resident witch Willow. In
episode 135 The Killer In Me Kennedy deviously plans a way to get Willow out
of the house and alone with her. She is also treated to a front row presentation of the
darker side of Willow but in the end our favorite spoiled rich girl gets what she wants :)
