Power Rangers Dino Thunder is the 12th generation of the Power Rangers TV Show.
Tommy Oliver, once a Power Ranger in his own right, has returned to Reefside, CA, as a paleontology professor. When three of his students discover the Dino Gems he has hidden, they take on the mantle of the Power Rangers.
Conner McKnight, the football-loving sportster, becomes the Red Ranger, with the power of the Tyrannozord, as well as superspeed. Kira Ford, a singer, becomes the Yellow Ranger, with the power of the Pterazord and a sonic scream. Ethan James, a computer nerd, takes on the power of the Tricerazord and also gains the ability to make his skin like armour.
Eventually, Tommy takes up his role as the Black Ranger again, with control over the Brachiozord and limited invisibility. After a while, Trent Fernandez becomes the White Ranger with the power of the Dragozord.
Together the Power Rangers fight against Mesagog (who is actually Trent's father, Anton Mercer), Zeltrax (a former friend of Tommy's) and Elsa (who poses as Principal Randall).
