Moments
Every relationship has a special moment or two (or three or four XD) that define it, a moment that allows people look to look back fondly and say "remember when..." These are Naruto and Sai's moments. Warning: Possible spoilers ahead!First Meeting
Takes place during chapter 283 of the manga. Naruto has only recently returned from his latest mission and is strolling through the village while Kakashi recuperates in the hospital. He mets up with Chouji and Shikamaru and just when everything seems to be going fine for our blonde ninja, the three are attacked from out of nowhere.
Chouji easily destroys Sai's first attack and the three look around to find
the location of their attacker. They spot Sai sitting calmly on a rooftop watching them.
As Naruto charges headfirst at their unknown asailant(Sai) uses his Chouju Giga technique
and attacks Naruto with a small army of tigers that he drew.
Shikamaru takes them out
using his Kage Nui technique and Naruto is able to vault onto the roof and engage Sai
in hand to hand combat. Naruto draws a kunai but Sai easily blocks it with his ninjato
(a short katana used by ninja). Sai then taunts Naruto by calling him
weak and enquiring as to whether he really is a guy. The first of many of Sai's innuendos
toward Naruto.
