As an honorary Teen Titan, and later, a member of Titans East, Aqualad makes numerous
appearances in the series. In fact, Aqualad makes more guest appearances than any other hero
in the series, including his fellow Titans East teammates.
Season 01
Aqualad makes his first appearance in the series in episode number eight of season one
entitled "Deep Six". The Teen Titans first meet Aqualad while tracking the criminal Triton
who sake a ship full of nuclear waste for unknown purposes. While investigating the scene
of the crime, Beast Boy spies a figure lurking in the shadows and gives chase. The shadowy
figure turns out to be Aqualad, an Atlantean, who is tracking Triton as well for his crimes
in Atlantis. During Beast Boy's pursuit of Aqualad Triton attacks the Titans and damages
their T-ship. While Tram, Aqualad's companion, is fixing the T-ship Aqualad and Beast Boy
team up to track down Triton and put a stop to his plans. A rivalry springs up between
Beast Boy and Aqualad which hinders their progress. In the end, however, both are able
to put aside their differences and work together. At the end of the episode Aqualad is
made an honorary Teen Titan and given a communicator.
Season 02
In episode nine of season two, "Winner Take All", Aqualad makes an appearance alongside
heroes Speedy, Wildebeast, and the criminal Gizmo.
Season 03
During season three, Aqualad makes several appearances. In episode eight, "Wavelength",
Aqualad arrives at the Titan's Tower and informs the Titans that "their trash" is in his
ocean. The villain Brother Blood, first seen in season one, has made a return and has
built his new "school" beneath the sea. Aqualad informs the Titans that he has been working
with another hero who has been deep undercover in the school and learned of his plans.
Using the blueprints he stole from Cyborg, Brother Blood has built a device that will
create a tsunami large enough to wipe out Jump City. Aqualad, the Titans, and Aqualad's
partner Bumble Bee, team up to take down Brother Blood once and for all.
Episodes twelve and thirteen, "Titans East Part I" and "Titans East Part II"
respectively, mark the culmination of the rising tempers between Cyborg and Robin that
was first glimpsed in season one. After a particularly nasty argument between the two
Cyborg leaves the Teen Titans and heads to the East Coast. There he builds a new "Titan's
Tower" and leads a new team of superheros. The new group of Titans, called the Titans
East, is comprised of Cyborg, Bumble Bee, Aqualad, Speedy, and May y Menos.
